Watch BJ the Chicago Kid's studio cover of MGMT's "Electric Feel."

BJ the Chicago Kid has been blessing the world with his songwriting chops and ultra-smooth voice for years now, and it was nice to see him get shine for his appearance on Schoolboy Q's big single "Studio" in 2014.

BJ's label Motown Records released a black-and-white video of him and his rhythm section recording an acoustic cover of MGMT's "Electric Feel" on Friday. This cover actually first appeared on BJ's 2011 mixtape The Life of Love's Cupid; he got signed to Motown in 2012 and evidently they're re-releasing his older material. Maybe gearing up for his next album, which we hope will drop sooner rather than later.

If you haven't yet be sure to scope BJ's most recent mixtape The M.A.F.E. Project.
