Signature sneakers have been taking a beating lately. We all know what happened when Under Armour unveiled the "Chef" Under Armour Curry Two Low and when Adidas debuted James Harden's kicks for next season it was more of the same.
Next up on the basketball sneaker roast of 2016 is Minnesota Timberwolves' star, Andrew Wiggins, also repping Adidas.
Unlike the aforementioned kicks, the sneakers that Wiggins will be lacing up next year, the Adidas Crazy Explosive, are of the high-top variety but they were met with much of the same hysteria.
A majority of the twitter sneaker critics trashed the latest Wiggins model for looking like a rollerblade, wrestling shoe etc. but there were also a few, and I stress the word "few", who were digging the look.
IMHO, they remind me of a less bulkier Mutombo sneaker and, from a strictly hooping standpoint, they're not half bad. Who am I kidding, these things are patently absurd.
Here's how some folks on twitter reacted to the Adidas Crazy Explosive, to be worn by #22 next season.
