Chevy Woods dropped off a new mixtape at the end of January, Gangland 3, and after giving us a few music videos prior to the project's release he's back at it today. The next visual to come off Gangland 3 is for the Arthur McArthur and Rich Kidd-produced "Gold Chainz Gold Daytons."
When Chevy sent over the visual, he also shared some of the backstory to the track. As he tells it, he looked up to one particular dude while he was growing up in Pittsburgh, and this man attempted to make a name for himself playing sports. When that didn't work out, he turned to the streets and all that comes with it-- gold chains, gold daytons, and sometimes, severe consequences. He ended up being gunned down, as is often the cycle when you're heavy in the streets. Chevy focuses on that exact cycle in "Gold Chainz Gold Daytons."
The TGOD rapper rocks all-black attire while spitting in front of a red Ferarri with gold rims, appropriately enough. The video also contains a few clips from the classic "Menace 2 Society" movie, plus Ty Dolla $ign makes a cameo. It's directed by David Camarena.
You can download Gangland 3 here if you haven't.
