Considering her ties to Ja Rule, we all knew 50 Cent would have something to say about this situation. Over the weekend, news broke out that an Ashanti concert was cancelled after selling a total of 24 tickets. Being one of the most recognized names in the music industry from the last decade, people were surprised about the reports. She hasn't released much new music in the last year after hitting her prime early on in her career, but fans expected a bigger turnout than 24 people. The event was initially supposed to be headlined by Teyana Taylor, who just released a pretty solid album, but the singer pulled out two weeks ago. 50 Cent decided to chime in, giving some advice to Ashanti on how to handle this situation.
"Do Basement parties then it can still feel like it’s lit," wrote Fiddy on one of his posts regarding the show's cancellation. At first, he was pretty speechless, admitting he didn't quite know how to react. In a second upload, the rapper asked for all 24 ticket-buyers to report to him, requesting their names and socials after he told everybody "not to fuck with" Ja Rule and, by association, Ashanti.
These days, artists make much of their money by touring so it's a little concerning to see the talented artist selling so few tickets. See both of 50's posts below.
