The hustle never ends for production-mogul 50 Cent. According to Deadline, the petty rapper is working on a new television series with Starz. The same platform wherein he has successfully launched the riveting drama and legal series, Power. This time around, however, Fif tapped his Power co-star Lala Anthony to bring the project to fruition.
Intercepted, the drama series' title, is based on the novel of the same name by author Alexa Martin. The story will center around the life of Marlee Harper, a former NFL player's girlfriend, who will experience rough changes upon ending ties with her football-playing bae. Accordingly, Harper will attempt to move away from the past altogether while solemnly swearing to never date another athlete again. However, in true drama fashion, her promise will be challenged by the quarterback of her hometown team. Precisely, Intercepted will feature Lala Anthony under the role of the lead actress, Marlee Harper.
The news surrounding the new show comes shortly after 50 teased he would be producing a television series on the story of Isaac Wright Jr, a wrongfully incarcerated black man who overturned his own conviction and became a lawyer within the same courts that imprisoned him. Surely, the rapper is putting in work and we are looking forward to everything he has in store.
