Sometimes big announcements come from the unlikeliest of sources. Last night DJ Battlecat posted a harmless video of him smoking a roach clip in what appears to be a shipping warehouse. The video takes an unsuspecting turn almost immediately, with Young Buck appearing in the camera lens alongside Kokane, a West Coast vet you may remember for siding with Eazy-E during his fallout with NWA.
Young Buck addresses the camera, explaining the group's happenstance but not their whereabouts. The warehouse seems to me a strange place to spend a Saturday evening, but Buck and Battlecat are not jiggy types looking to post up. They look genuinely stoked to blow their smoke on the warning track. Young Buck then shares the biggest news of the day-not Coachella-related, announcing his upcoming album will be executively produced by former G-Unit head 50 Cent, and the inimitable Dr. Dre, a duo with a proven track record. The record will also be exclusively tied together by DJ Battlecat's monopoly on production.

"Can't Lose" was initially rumored to be a G-Unit single due to cross-promotion, but that's been put to rest, along with rumors of Dr Dre's demise. Dr. Dre is quietly keeping his chair warm, by invitation only. This week Eminem stopped off at Aftermath studios for a quick stint before his Coachella appearance. Keep it locked.
