The Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt has returned from Samoa and already signed a deal to distribute his music through Columbia Records.

Earl Sweatshirt, the newly returned member of Odd Future, has inked a deal for his own imprint on Columbia Records (which is owned by Sony).

His imprint, called Tan Cressida, will distribute his records, the New York Times reports. Although Earl was offered many deals, some of which were offering more money, he chose to stay under the Sony-umbrella with his group mates in OF, since Odd Future Records is distributed by Sony's RED.

There are three projects Earl has plans to work on; his solo major-label debut, a collaborative project with producer Matt Martian, as well as long-time planned collaboration with Tyler, the Creator, which will be called EarlWolf.

You can read the full article in the NY Times here, where Earl discusses his time in Samoa, his relationship with his mom and Odd Future.
