Lil Herb's Welcome To Fazoland was one of the most impressive mixtapes of 2014, and one of the most promising debut projects in recent memory. The lyrically-inclined drill record had a range of material, from street anthems, to more personal reflections on family life.
"On My Soul", a collaboration with drill vet Lil Reese places firmly in the former category, with Reese providing an infectious hook, incorporating his influential stutter flow, which has been adopted by many rappers in recent years.
Herb decided to close out the year with yet another project, releasing PPP (Pistol P Project) just last week. Look out for plenty more from him in 2015.
