Opening with delicate, arrhythmic piano twinkles, atmospheric strings and a high-pitched J. Cole spitting beat poetry-inspired bars, the 2014 Forest Hills Drive intro track comes off sounding a hell of a lot like Chance The Rapper. The video's just been shared.
The visuals show Cole riding his bike in New York City, not doing much other than pedaling and stopping to admire BMWs in a showroom. Repeating the line "do you want to be happy" ad infinitum, Cole then launches into "verse" that centers around the word "free." It's a cool, uncharacteristically abstract track from one of the game's brightest stars.
