When Jordan Brand confirmed that the iconic "Banned" colorway of the Air Jordan 1 would be rereleasing, everyone naturally started wondering about that sneaker's equally beloved counterpart, the "Royal" 1.
Today we have our answer: the Royals are returning.
According to DJ Folk, the classic black and blue 1s will be making their comeback in 2017. The kicks last released in 2013 and are currently on the market for over $1,000 at spots like Flight Club so the retro should be a blessing for sneakerheads abound.
Now we just have to wonder if they'll be built like the upcoming "Banned" 1s with tumbled leather attributes, or if they'll feature the traditional smooth leather.
Take a look at the 2013 pair in the gallery above and stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.
