J. Cole is profiled in The Fader's latest "Earlier That Day" documentary.

After featuring Vince Staples in the inaugural edition of their "Earlier That Day" documentary series, The Fader's chosen J. Cole as the subject of the second installment.

Following Cole as he prepares for a show later that night, the doc gives us insight into the special relationship the rapper has with his fans, some of whom are shown bum-rushing a venue to get good spots for the concert. The NC native speaks of performing his old material, and charging only one dollar for his concert. Towards the end, Drake shows up to say what up to his friend backstage.
