Hip-hop legend DJ Premier will release a joint album with Detroit spitter Royce Da 5'9" under the name "PRhyme" on December 9th. Recently, he stopped by Snoop Dogg's GGN program to discuss the new project and reminisce on his earliest run-ins with The Doggfather.
The pair of OGs discuss the studio wizardry of Adrian Younge, a producer and multi-instrumentalist who composed a bunch of original material for Premo to chop up for PRhyme. They go on to reminisce about the era of "no rap" that they grew up in, getting starry eyed when discussing James Brown and Marvin Gaye. An awesome meeting of two of hip-hop's wisest minds.
