Shorty K is a rapper from Chicago who's affiliated with Sir Michael Rocks. Last week, he made his HNHH debut as the lead artist on a track with "Livin," a song that also featured Mikey Rocks himself. Today, he's back with a video for "Forever."
Somewhat surprisingly, this track doesn't really fit into the artistic wheelhouse of Rocks' indie-minded compositions, instead sounding a lot more akin to the music of another resident of Chicago: Lil Durk. Like Durk, Shorty K is making use of rather aggressive, drill-flavored beats while displaying a knack for melody that few auto-tune-abusers can muster. "Forever" is a very promising track, and one that sees Shorty K stepping out on his own.
