Toronto singer/rapper/songwriter Tory Lanez has become a huge name on HNHH in the past few years, thanks to his "Fargo Fridays" series and slew of dope mixtapes. Recently, he paid a visit to us in NYC to chop it up about his origins, his connection to Teyana Taylor and his ghostwriting credits.
Addressing his track "Teyana," which was aimed at Teyana Taylor and garnered a response from her, Lanez explained: "When I spoke to her on FaceTime, she really was looking good, so it inspired me to write the record."
Somewhat surprisingly, he also reveals three big records from this year that he ghost-wrote. According to Lanez, he wrote parts of Travi$ Scott and T.I.'s "Quintana Pt. 2," Jeezy and Akon's "Been Getting Money" and a forthcoming August Alsina and Meek Mill track that will appear on Dreams Worth More Than Money.
Stay tuned for Lanez's list of the ten songs that have influenced him the most, dropping on HNHH on Monday.
