Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, the brothers who make up the duo Rae Sremmurd, have just released their long-awaited sophomore album, SremmLife 2. On the same day, Swae, the younger of the two bros, has revealed that he plans to put out a solo project, entitled Swaecation.
Swae referred to Swaecation as a "retarded project" in a new feature piece with Complex. "I have eight songs right now that I feel like are candidates for the project," he said, "But I gotta make sure they're all up to par."
Upon the revelation of Swaecation, Jxmmi admitted that the music industry, much to his dislike, has been pressuring each of them to go solo. "The whole industry going to do shit to separate us," he said. "We got separate tracks, because we can both rap.” He went on to say that he's not going to drop his own solo project any time soon "because I don't want to satisfy the world like that."
Also in the interview, Swae -- already a songwriter on Beyonce's "Formation" -- disclosed that he has written material for Katy Perry.
