As far as Drake co-signs go, DeJ Loaf's "Try Me" succeeded iLoveMakonnen's "Tuesday" as Summer 2014 closed, with both tracks bearing some sonic similarities that clearly appealed to Drizzy. Of the two "Try Me" is icier, befitting Loaf's Detroit home turf, and today it gets a video.
Splitting time with "Try Me' in this video is a new track called "We Good," and if you thought the former sounded kind of like a Noah "40" Shebib production, the latter goes even further down that OVO rabbit hole. A placid soundscape is broken by sharp snares and atmospheric bass while Lil Loaf stunts on everybody, including Def Jam and Interscope, with some dope verses.
