It's no secret that Jay Electronica's perennially delayed debut album (first announced in, like, 2011) is the veritable Detox for a certain segment of underground-revering, beard-stroking hip-hop listeners, and though we still have no details, Jay spoke on the project in a recent interview.
MTV caught up with Jay ElecRamadaan-Muhammad-A'salaamaleikum at the BET Awards, and spoke with him about the drug use that's allegedly put a further delay on the yet-to-be-titled album. Stuttering a surprising amount for such a talented lyricist, Jay detailed his relapse into drinking and smoking weed and spoke on Roc Nation label boss Jay Z's support and patience.
