Anyone who listened to Lucki Eck$' phenomenal Body High tape at lest once knows how much your boy likes drugs (even if you didn't listen, the title makes things pretty obvious). And even if this is your first encounter with the young Chicago artist, the opening seconds of his "Hidden Place" video will make his chemical predilections very clear, or more accurately, blurry and distorted.
The track, which mostly relies on a backwards keyboard loop, matches its video's loopiness with a queasy, disorienting soundscape. The percussion sounds like it's being run through the same rabbit hole Eck$' mind is embarking down, making for a song that's at once busy and seamless.
