Last night, previously mysterious rapper Your Old Droog (who many believed to be Nas in disguise) silenced conspiracy theorists by performing his first concert at New York's Webster Hall. Now drawing attention from publications as large as the New York Times, the young MC has created quite a buzz (albeit an unorthodox one) around himself. The question now is: can he live up to the almost insurmountable hype of being compared to Nas on your first release?
In this new freestyle, recorded for a radio show called "Rap Is Outta Control," YOD answers that with a vehement "yes." He clearly has bars for days, and is a very practiced rapper. Now will the public accept him? That answer's for another time.
