After a several-years-long hiatus, T-Pain is back making music. With the success of "Up Down" and collaborations with a younger generation of artists, Teddy Pain has reclaimed some of his old glory, and he recently visited Snoop Dogg's GGN show to talk about it.
With Snoop calling the auto-tune pioneer the "Roger Troutman of our era," T-Pain details his crazy hot streak that occurred between 2006 and 2007. He also reveals that he DJ'd long before he began singing, and continues to enjoy it to this day.
As far as future plans, T-Pain said that he's been trying to get Andre 3000, Cee-Lo and Drake on a massive track inspired by his debut album, Rappa Ternt Sanga. That sounds like a lofty goal, but who knows, maybe T-Pain still has some tricks up his sleeve.
