Android love is a subject that's been tackled by many a sci fi novel and film, with cultural touchstones such as Blade Runner, Archer and Austin Powers (remember the fembots?) engaging in questions of morality in cyborg/human relations. Lorenzo Asher's latest video, "Bills," throws its hat into this intriguing, futuristic arena, beginning with a fake ad for a company called Neilsan Cybernetics.
The EV3-1S, as this particular model of cyborgs is called, is made to resemble a tall, slim woman with a black bob haircut, clearly made with the intent of wooing human suitors. Asher attempts to ignore their bionically seductive ways, but you'll have to watch the video to find out whether he succeeds or succumbs to their synthetic charm.
