BJ The Chicago Kid may be more familiar to you as a guy who's popped up singing the hooks of recent tracks by Schoolboy Q, Freddie Gibbs and many more, but he's shaping up to be perfectly capable solo artist as well. His "Perfect" video just dropped.
Somewhat surprisingly (at least when you consider BJ's past output), this track is a little avant-garde, with minimal, of-kilter instrumentation accompanying the singer's showy vocals. On its own, this track's instrumental could very well be mistaken for something off of FKA Twigs' new, more experimental R&B album.
It's cool to see BJ The Chicago Kid fuck with the modern R&B formula.
