Troy Ave has become a strangely divisive artist, creating a rift between rap media, as he dismisses "weirdo" rappers, and identifies as a REAL New York rapper.
Troy embodies the persona in his latest clip as well, liberating a track from the appropriately titled, New York City: The Album. He taps Young Lito for a verse on this one as well.
Ave delivers a 50 Cent-esque goon melody on the hook, while going with some more traditional rapped flows on the verses. It's rumored that Troy is set to sign with T.I.'s Hustle Gang. If so, be prepared to see plenty more of him in the near future.
