On July 2nd, KaliRaps shared Mr. Misunderstood, a mixtape that featured contibutions from Jon Connor, Maino, Chris Webby, Termanology and Sean Brown. Today, he's chosen to highlight the tape's "The Past" with a music video.
Set both in the present and the past, KaliRaps stars as a young man in '50s, while he casts an older man to play himself in the present. According to the MC himself, the "The Past" video "shares a 1950s feel to show how older people probably feel about the world we live in now." This attempt to understand and connect with the older generation is rare in hip-hop, so KaliRaps definitely deserves to be applauded for this video.
