Nas explains why he felt compelled to hop on the new version of Wiz Khalifa's "We Dem Boyz."

On Thursday, Wiz Khalifa surprised everyone by dropping a second remix of his currently-charting hit "We Dem Boyz," mostly due to a completely new beat and a guest appearance by none other than Nas.

Before performing at the Essence Festival in New Orleans this weekend, Nas caught up with Revolt TV to explain how he ended up on the remix alongside Rick Ross and Schoolboy Q. Basically, it boiled down to Nas' love of the original track -- with him saying that the song "feels like it represents you" -- as well as his long-standing respect for Young Khalifa.

Let's hope we get more collaborations from this pair in the future.
