Lupe Fiasco's been working on his new album Tetsuo & Youth for quite some time, delaying it and switching up the tracklist on several occasions. IN a new interview with DJ SKEE, Fiasco explains why he's had to cut down the project's length, as well as lists his current influences (Ab-Soul, Big K.R.I.T., 2Pac, Radiohead and Metallica) and describes the origins of "Kick, Push."
Fiasco first tells SKEE how he doesn't get royalties for more than 11 songs on one album, which is why he's cutting Tetsuo & Youth down from 25 tracks. Then he explains how "Kick, Push" was originally written as an ad for a local skate shop.
