Frequent Roots collaborator Dice Raw released a concept album in 2013 entitled Jimmy’s Back, and it appears as if he's not done making videos for the project. "Run" is an album cut that's just getting its visual treatment.
The album was named for Jimmy Davis, Dice Raw's friend and fellow rapper who was killed last year in Philadelphia. Dice said, “Jimmy was all about positivity…it’s a tragedy that his life had to play out this way. I wanted to dedicate this album to him in the hopes of changing some perspectives and saving some lives.”
On "Run," the perspective in question is that of a young hustler, with Dice narrating his actions throughout the video.
