Isaiah Rashad recently made a triumphant return with his official debut album, The Sun's Tirade, released almost three years after TDE put out his Cilvia Demo EP. Next up for the LA powerhouse is Ab-Soul and SZA, neither of whom have dropped a commercial project since 2014. Last month, TDE CEO Anthony Tiffith revealed that Soulo's album is finished and that a release date would be "coming soon." While that date still hasn't surfaced, SZA has now suggested that her next album should be dropping some time in November.
In a new interview, SZA tells ESSENCE that TDE has given her a planned release date for what will be her debut album, which many presume will be entitled A, following the S and Z EPs she put out in 2013 and 2014, respectively. "I just got a date last week, finally," says SZA, going on to reveal that the album is scheduled to drop "near my birthday." SZA will turn 26 on November 8th, and hopefully she can celebrate with the release of her debut album.
Though one can imagine it's tough being on such a stacked label, TDE has put out a stellar lineup of albums in 2016. What a year it'll be if the label manages to drop new LPs from both Soulo and SZA.
