Jake One explains the process behind one of "Animal Ambitions" most notable instrumentals.

Jake One sits down for a quick "Behind The Beat" to discuss his work on 50 Cent's "The Funeral." Before giving an instrumental breakdown, Jake reveals that the production was actually recorded over two years ago. Inspired by Schoolboy Q's Habits & Contraditions, he attempted to record a modern day "Murder Was The Case." The instrumental was shipped off to G-Unit in 2011 and only surfaced a few months back when 50 released it as an official single to his brand new Animal Ambition LP. Ultimately, the track would be included as a bonus track on the deluxe edition alongside, coincidentally, a feature from Schoolboy Q himself.

Were you feeling the "Funeral" instrumental?
