Ab-Soul's "Stigmata," released earlier this week, was already full of crucifixion-related imagery before it got a video. There was the song's single artwork, which featured a cross, and also the fact that Soulo borrows some bars from Nas' song "The Cross" in the chorus of "Stigmata," but now Ab-Soul's gone all in with the "Passion Of The Christ" theme.
This new video for "Stigmata," which clocks in under a minute thanks to the removal of verse by Action Bronson and Asaad, finds Soulo trekking through the desert with a cross on his back and a crown of thorns on his head. Watch it above.
The end of the video includes the artwork for Soulo's upcoming album, These Days..., and an official release date: June 24th.
