Last night's SNL finale had a wealth of hip-hop-related content, with the Solange and Jay Z incident being parodied, and Pharrell turning up in a digital short from host Andy Samberg's group The Lonely Island. The producer/rapper/singer/hat aficionado showed up to sing the hook of a song called "Hugs," taken from the group's last release, The Wack Album.
This one has the guys claiming they have "more hugs than Atlas had shrugs," bragging about their pattern of embracing women and then leaving them.
It was one of several interactions Samberg had with hip-hop stars last night, as Lil Jon showed up in a segment called "When Will The Bass Drop," and 2 Chainz appeared in one called "Superhits Studio."
