Elliott Wilson traveled to L.A. to speak with Freddie Gibbs for another episode of his "The Truth" series on Jay Z's Life+Times website. The pair talked about Gibbs' recent album with Madlib, Piñata, as well as his beef with Jeezy and relationship with Erica Dickerson, daughter of former football star Eric Dickerson.
Wilson asked Gibbs where he sees himself in the 2014 rap game, and Gibbs boldly responded, "When you talk about the top five guys who flat out rap the best, I think you definitely gotta put me in that conversation."
Also brought up was Gibbs' rather public falling out with former label Interscope, and when Wilson asked if he regretted the way he handled the split, Gibbs said, "I don't regret shit."
