Kanye West debuted Yeezy Season 4 yesterday, on the first day of New York Fashion Week, featuring a ton of new apparel exclusively for the ladies. Prior to the big unveil, he sat down with Vogue for an interview in which he discussed his upcoming Adidas Yeezy stores, the wildly popular Adidas Yeezy Boosts, and his future plans with the Three Stripes.
First things first, Kanye noted that the very first Adidas Yeezy Store will be located in California, considering that's where he stays now. Although, that's just the jumping off point and his goal is to have 200 stores within the next year.
"I believe the first one will be in California, since that’s where I stay now," he said. "I can go by there most often, check in, get the vibe. But I want to do 200 stores in the next year. That’s just me saying what I want. I’m not saying what can definitely happen but you might as well just state out loud what you want. That’ll put you one step closer to getting it.”
As for the highly-sought after, and ridiculously elusive, Yeezy Boosts, Kanye said he's still working on a way to make them not only more available, but also more affordable.
“I’m very focused on trying to make things far more affordable, far more beautiful, and for far more people.”
The new Yeezy Boost 350 V2 will be making it's debut later this month in a "Steel Grey/Beluga/Solar Red" colorway but there are plenty more on the horizon including "White/Black," "Turtle Dove," and "Black/Peach" colorways. There's also that "Black/Red" rendition that Kanye has been rocking quite frequently, which he also wore during the Yeezy Season 4 unveiling.
When those sneakers drop, we can only hope that Kanye's dreams of making them more available have become a reality.
