Although the hip-hop community seems to love Kanye West's new single "Theraflu," Theraflu itself is not so happy about it, and neither is PETA.
Theraflu has released a statement to TMZ about the single, and so has PETA, both contain sentiments of disapproval.
"We in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner," said a Theraflu representative. "Theraflu is an over-the-counter product used to help relieve cold and flu symptoms that millions of consumers rely on."
PETA, on the other hand, had much harsher words for Kanye,
"What’s draggin’ on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings," said PETA's Senior Vice President Dan Matthews in a statement to XXLMag.com.
Matthews continued, "He’s a great musician but doesn’t seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes. We keep hoping that one day he’ll find his heart and join evolved style icons—including Russell Simmons, Pink, and Natalie Portman—who have dropped animal skins."
