According to Paterson Press, P-Dice, a former member of Fetty Wap's Remy Boyz crew, has been arrested in connection to the shooting of a 7-year old boy in Paterson, New Jersey. The shooting is said to have taken place February 29th, where a stray bullet injured the boy within his home. ABC news reports that the bullet came through the window of the Rosa Parks Blvd house, where it hit the child, Jaiden Deleon, in the shoulder, sending him to the hospital.
While police do not believe the house was the target of the shooting, P-Dice (real name Justin Pope) has been charged with attempted murder, weapons offences and possession of a defaced firearm. So far, there is no information pertaining to how Pope has been linked to the shooting, though the charges indicate the firearm in question had been recovered.
Fetty Wap and P-Dice recently had a falling out, and Dice has not been a member of the Remy Boyz crew for some time now.
The victim and his family have since moved out of the home where the shooting occurred, and his mother was happy to hear that a suspect had been arrested. “I’m so excited,” she said. “My whole family is happy about this. I give props to the Paterson Police Department. They did their job."
Further updates to come as information arrives.
