MTV is reviving actual music programming.

MTV has announced an exciting slate of programming that will debut this fall.

The cable network is planning to roll out a hip-hop music competition series executive produced by Mark Burnett, the mastermind behind "Survivor" & "The Voice." The show promises to put "tomorrow’s top talent in front of the industry’s top dogs — and then [get] them signed and into the recording studio."

MTV is also reviving their celebrated program "Unplugged," a show most famous for its legendary Kurt Cobain performance that has also captured memorable performances from Jay Z and Lauryn Hill. The reboot promises to "keep the essential feel of the original series while modernizing to fit the way we watch videos today across multiple platforms.”

Variety reports that MTV also plans to revive "Cribs" -- sort of. The popular '00s show has been reinvented as a Snapchat exclusive. Rather than being followed around by a  camera crew, celebrities will use their phones to give guided tours of their homes. The first round of "episodes" is scheduled to launch in June with appearances from Mac Miller, Austin Mahone and Travis Mills.

While "Teen Mom" and "Catfish: The TV Show" likely aren't going anywhere, MTV is finally getting back on the path to respectability.
