Kim Kardashian Channels Jackie Kennedy, Claps Back At The Haters

Forget the MTV Video Music Awards or any other buzzworthy topic that was trending online this morning - Kim Kardashian put those all in the rearview mirror when she unveiled her new photo shoot and cover photo for Interview Magazine earlier today (August 28th).

Channeling former First Lady Jackie Kennedy's physical appearance, the reality TV magnate posed in a White House-type setting with her daughter, North West. Sporting a 1960's-era bob and some pearl earrings to match, Kim sits stoically over a title that reads "America's New First Lady Kim Kardashian West & Her Daughter North West." A bold statement to be sure, but compared to what was said in the accompanying interview, Kim was just getting warmed up.

Most notably, she opened up about how she feels when the haters rear their ugly head and cite her "lack of talent" as the most quizzical part of her ability to achieve such a high level of fame. "I used to say, 'I love being underestimated,' explained Kardashian. "But now when I hear, 'They’re so not talented,'—ten years into it—I’m kind of like, 'Okay, give a girl a little respect.'" She added, "if I’m so not talented, if I do nothing, then how is my career my reality? And I poke fun at it, like when I was on the cover of Forbes I posted the hashtag #NotBadForAGirlWithNoTalent. I don’t mind being underestimated because it does fuel me. But after a while, I do feel like, 'C’mon, you can recognize a little bit.'" It's not an unfair assessment, given that Kim Kardashian has spun her celebrity profile into dozens of profitable ventures for her business-wise, including her KKW Beauty brand.

Elsewhere, she talked about raising bi-racial children with her husband, rapper extraordinaire Kanye West. "Kanye always has his family around and people who look like my daughter—that’s important to me," Kim said. "She’s obsessed with her curly hair, and if she finds someone who has the same hair, she runs to them and is like, 'You have curly hair like me?' And we get to talk about it. We also talk about it with my niece Penelope, because she and North look really different, but they’re best friends and they’re together all the time." People might keep underestimating her, but it's clear that Kim Kardashian is a woman who grabbing multiple W's at the moment.
