Eminem, largely considered one of the most influential emcees of the past two decades, had a short run of shows in the U.K. this past week. As one might expect from a performer of his caliber, they were incredibly memorable. One factor that made those recent shows so special was the fact that Em was linking up with the likes of Royce Da 5'9" and Run The Jewels, surrounding himself with some of the most talented people in the game. For a time, that included Russ as well.
The There's Really a Wolf rapper, who opened for the Slim Shday, got to live out the dream of many a young artist and kick it with someone who informed most of their creative being. Posting to his Instagram account, Russ shared a picture of he and Eminem just chilling together like it's no big deal. The caption to the photo confirms the excitement of the moment, reading: "Got to hang out with the reason why I started rapping aka the 🐐 tonight." He might be one of the most elusive figures in rap, so there's no telling when Eminem will surface and where, or for what reason. All we know is that Russ is now one of the lucky ones who's had the opportunity for some one-on-one time with one of music's great figures.
Elsewhere in the Eminem universe, the rapper managed to carve out some time during his Glasgow show to address the political climate in the United States, even going so far as to say that he might need to make Scotland his "new home." "S**t ain’t going so well in the States. I just wanna take this moment out right now and say motherf**k Donald Trump!" Promptly launching into a fire rendition of "White America," it was clear that the crowd and Eminem were on the same page in terms of who's to blame for much of the hate that seems to be consuming all walks of life in Marshall Mathers' home country.
