Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley has had an incredibly turbulent path to success. Although he’s been in the game for a couple years, and actually spent three years in jail, Tee Grizzley got his big break earlier this year with the success of his hit record “First Day Out”. The record garnered co-signs from Jay Z & Lebron James, the latter of which tripled his record sales in one workout.
Ever since, Tee Grizzley has been spotted in the studio working with several household named rappers, including Young Thug, Fabulous, Lil Durk & possibly Jay Rock, but that’s still not all. Back in June, Tee was spotted in the studio with MMG rapper Meek Mill, and now we’re about to hear what the two cooked up. On Friday night, both Meek & the Detroit rapper took to their social media accounts to announce their upcoming new single “Beef,” which is dropping next Friday.
"Next Friday," Tee captioned along with the single's artwork.
Unfortunately, neither artist shared any further details on the single nor any sort of snippet, but seeing how it appears to be Tee Grizzly’s record with Meek being featured, it makes me believe it’ll be off Tee’s forthcoming project, whenever that’ll be.
With exception to a couple features from some albums, next week’s “Beef” collab will serve as Meek’s first release since dropping off last month’s Wins & Losses album. It’ll follow up Tee’s latest release “Teetroit,” which dropped last month.
Check out the announcement (below) and look for the single to impact next Thursday night at midnight, if not earlier. Stay tuned. Who else do you hope Tee Grizzley links up with in the future?
