Tyler, The Creator laid it all on the line for his new release Flower Boy, which debuted earlier this summer to much acclaim and buzz, namely surrounding the lyrical content of the song "Garden Shed," where a reference to a former male love interest was twisted into a proclamation of his bisexuality by many fans. Though he's never explicitly come out as a result of his lyrics, he has teased the fact that he may have had a boyfriend in years past. During a recent podcast interview, he said something to that effect, but according to comments later posted on Twitter, he meant it as a "figure of speech" in order to try and broaden some minds. Whatever the interpretation is, the point remains that Flower Boy is Tyler at the most mature and artistically sound we've ever seen him. Finally, he's announced a short slate of tour dates in support of the LP.
Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, Tyler revealed that he'll undertake a small tour, "two weeks real quick" in his own words, that will cover a group of cities that's as eclectic as he is. Beginning on October 31st in San Francisco, the tour will also stop in the likes of Seattle, Portland, Kansas City and New York before ending up in Dallas, TX for the last show on November 22nd. Tickets for those shows go on sale this Friday, presumably through Tyler's website, although there's no confirmation of that in his tweet. Regardless, you can check out the full list of dates below.
