August Awgust is almost done, which means back to school and work for most of us. However, for A$AP Rocky, it means the fun is just beginning. The release of A$AP Mob's long-awaited project Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy is coming up on August 25th, with a new album from A$AP Ferg already in tow (you can check out our review of that one here). All that being said, however, that doesn't mean fans should expect the new music talk to die down at all, especially where one particular member of the A$AP Mob is concerned: A$AP Rocky.
In a video that's been making the rounds on social media today, in the form of a rip, Rocky previewed an untitled link-up that he had with Playboi Carti and Chief Keef, both of whom have had impressive runs themselves in 2017. The tease took place during a livestream on Instagram, with early impressions being that the trio of rappers might soon have another certified banger climbing the charts. Take a listen below.
This isn't the first time Playboi Carti has made his way onto a track with A$AP Rocky. The two were previously heard together on the vocals for the Cozy Tapes Vol. 2 single "RAF," alongside Frank Ocean, Lil Uzi Vert and Quavo. The video version of the track, which had a lot of pre-posted material scattered over its running time, didn't feature any of Uzi or Ocean's contributions to the song. The teased track from the livestream will be bringing Keef into the fold, which adds another strong, street-centric voice to a rapper who's profile continues to expand with each new release.
If you're down for more cozy vibes, that means that September is going to make things even better for you. The Mob are hitting the road for the aptly named Too Cozy Tour, with Rocky, Ferg, Twelvyy, Nast, Ant, Carti, and Key all on the bill to perform. The first show will be at Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell in Massachusetts on September 23rd and runs through the beginning of November. You can peep the full list of tour stops below.
