The Bay Area rapper was shot multiple times this morning, according to police.

In a report from East Bay Times, Oakland rapper and Bay Area legend, Keak Da Sneak was reportedly shot this morning. The police said they responded to a call around 5:30 a.m. after hearing shots were fired where he was found injured in front of a gas station. The rapper was then taken to the hospital where they say he's received some life-threatening injuries. The rapper was afterwards taken in by the paramedics where they deemed him critically unstable. He's been in the hospital since this morning.

While the investigation is still ongoing, there's no word what the cause of the shooting was. They haven't said whether it was a drive-by or not nor have they mentioned anything to do with what their speculations might be. The Internet has been pouring out sympathies and well wishes for the rapper.

Fellow Bay Area rapper, Mistah F.A.B took to Instagram, in a since-deleted post saying that Keak Da Sneak came out of surgery and is now in recovering. While it's unsure at what level his recovery is at, at least there has been an update of sorts from a close source.

This shooting is the second time he's been shot this year. Earlier in January, Keak Da Sneak was shot in the Bay Area to which the injuries weren't life-threatening. He took to Instagram a few days after being shot with a caption that read "You'll never understand how valuable life is until it flash before ya eyes 🙏🏾 Gods plan can never be determined by man an fa that I'm still livin an Can't nothin on this earth stop me!" It's utterly sad that the 39-year-old rapper came victim of another shooting this year.

As of right now, there aren't many details available on the shooting other than the little information given by police as well as Mistah F.A.B.'s post. As everybody else is, we're praying for the health of Keak Da Sneak. He has been a pivotal role in Bay Area's music scene, and is even the one credited for the word "hyphy." We are praying for Keak Da Sneak right now and wishing for the rapper to have a speedy recovery.
