It appears DMX is going a little stir crazy while under house arrest. According to TMZ, X has already asked a judge to let him out so he can support his children & do some upcoming shows.
Murray Richman, X’s lawyer, reportedly sent out a letter to a NY federal judge Monday asking that his client be allowed to travel to cities like Atlanta, Vegas, Philly, and L.A. to perform at some live concerts over the next two months. The earliest gig would be tomorrow already in ATL. Unfortunately for X, the judge shot down that ATL request because it came in too late. The judge reportedly made it clear that all requests to leave house arrest must be submitted at least a week in advance.
As for the other dates, prosecutors are hoping a judge still says no to X leaving based on the fact that it’ll interfere with his drug program. However, X’s lawyer says he’s negotiating to get X out for some of the upcoming dates, expressing that the Ruff Ryder rapper has fifteen kids to feed and needs to be working & doing live shows.
If you forgot why X why is in halfway house in the first place, he violated bail conditions in his tax evasion case by skipping town without a heads-up to the court and later failing drug tests four times with both weed & cocaine being found in his system.
While Murray continue to negotiate X’s release for some upcoming shows, let’s hope X can make it out for the upcoming Ruff Ryder tour, which kicks off September 7 in Miami, Florida. Look for Eve, Swizz Beatz, The Lox, Drag-On & more to be alongside hopefully X, with Fat Joe being added to the first half of the tour as well.
