Lil Uzi Vert, no matter what your leanings on his music are from a taste point of view, has always been consistently adored by his fans. Even in the face of a new album that's suffered from delay after delay, Uzi continues to tour and pack concert venues with attendees who are ready to wild out on the shortest possible notice. However, during a recent show that was partly captured on video, a lesson was learned that should be passed on to all supporters who go to the rapper's concerts: throw your phone at him while he's on stage and risk losing it forever.
Apparently, more than one person who was in attendance at an Uzi show this week made that mistake. Smartphones kept being thrown up on the stage from the crowd, with cries for the emcee to upload a Snapchat or a video to another social media platform of his choosing. The initial reaction was one of surprise and, eventually, one of apathy, as he remarked that one concertgoer's phone "was locked" before he unceremoniously chucked it back into the mass of sweaty humanity. He repeated the process with multiple phones, letting the expensive pieces of technology rain down upon some unsuspecting heads.
As it turns out, Lil Uzi Vert has done more than toss around other people's mobile devices this week. In fact, he's actually been more outwardly talkative than we're used to seeing from him. First off, he responded to Kodak Black's comment that he doesn't bump to Uzi's music with a good-natured comeback: "I ain't poor [...] If I was poor, this would've got to me. If I was poor, I'd have all day to think about that." Couple that with the fact that he coped himself a new gun-themed chain, and you'd think that it's looking to be a pretty busy and successful week for the Philly native. Now, all we need is a LUV Is Rage 2 teaser. Or something. Anything, just as long as it's new music from him.
