By all accounts that have surfaced online in the days since the event, this year's OVO Fest performance from Drake and his various guest stars was truly something special. From the massive replica of Toronto's best-known skyline symbol, the CN Tower, to the explosive pyrotechnics, the visuals for the 2017 edition of the show were incredibly memorable. That's not to say it stole the spotlight from the music though - far from it. With surprise performances from his Canadian contemporary The Weeknd and the hottest female emcee on the planet, Cardi B, those in attendance were part of a special experience.
There is good news for those who weren't able to see the spectacle live, however. Drake has shared a new snippet of footage from the show on his Instagram, potentially teasing some sort of concert film release that could be on the way in the near future. In the clip, Drake sits atop the faux CN Tower, gazing ponderously out into the crowd made up of adoring fans. Bathed in purple and blue lighting, the mood is a subdued one overall, lying in wait until the first beats from a song come in. The video also includes one of Drake-iest of Drake captions, reading "If I die outside my comfort zone...box me up and ship me home." He was definitely at home on the OVO Fest stage, feeding off the frenzied energy like the rap icon everyone knows him to be.
