Chuck D of Public Enemy has a solution for fans infuriated at the shutout of Colin Kaepernick in the National Football League.
As the season gets underway, it appears that Kap will remain unsigned following his choice to silently protest police brutality by kneeling during the national anthem last season.
Many have taken this occurence to be a result of Kaepernick being blackballed by league owners who collectively seem to oppose his stance.
TMZ recently ran into veteran emcee Chuck D and got his thoughts on the subject.
"What are your thoughts on this?" the outlet asked. "That people have actually stood out and said I got to get behind this guy and do a rally so he can get a job in the NFL. It got that bad."
"The dude is a quarterback that played in the Super Bowl," Chuck noted. "So, to say that his skills have fallen off and atrophied a short time later to be a 3rd-string or 2nd-string quarterback is ridiculous. Think about it. You have owners and you have players. The fact that somebody owns you makes it a weird dynamic anyway."
"It's up to the fans to also protest," he added. "I don't think they could land him with a team. ...If you want to protest, don't go to the sports bars, don't turn your game on, leave your team for a year.
"If you're going to protest on the outside, do your best to connect it to something that's real," he concluded.
