Kanye West and Kid Cudi have had an interesting history together. The G.O.O.D Music C.E.O and Kid Cudi first met when the latter was working at a Bape Store in New York City. The run-in happened to help shift how music would be heard in later years with Cudi having a very strong hand in creating Kanye's highly influential album 808's & Heartbreaks. While over the course of the past few years, they've had their ups-and-downs as not only collaborators but as friend however they seemed to patch things up last year.
Earlier today Japanese artist, Takashi Murakami posted a picture on Instagram with himself, Kanye West and Kid Cudi at his studio in Japan. The caption on the post read "Long time no see @kidcudi and #kanyewest. Thank you for coming to my studio. It was fire 🔥🔥🔥."
Besides this picture, a few others that were at the studio also posted on the 'gram pictures with 'Ye and Cudi. Coodie Rock, who is a film director and co-owner of Creative Control LLC. posted a picture of himself, Kanye, Cudi and Murakami with the caption "Coming Dec 31st! #EVERYBODYWINS #GODisGREAT."
Greg "Ol Skool" Lewis also posted a group picture with the three artists captioning it "Coming Dec 31st #EverybodyWins"
The pictures posted has made many to speculate that Kanye West and Kid Cudi are currently working on a collaborative effort together that will be released on December 31st.
While there is no official statement that there is a project between the two happening, the idea of it would be very dope and definitely would break some musical barriers.
