Donald Glover reveals he's working on new music in London right now.

Back in June during his performance at Governor’s Ball, Childish Gambino hinted to the crowd that his next album would be his last under the Gambino name, “I’ll see you for the last Gambino album,” he told the crowd. While fans were outraged at the thought of no more Gambino, it turns out it wont be for a little while longer until he hangs up the mic.

In a new interview with BBC Radio, DJ Clara Amfo admitted she didn’t know how to address Donald, whether to call him by his legal name or stage name Childish Gambino? “Because it’s Donald Glover, though. But then there’s Childish Gambino, but I knew there’s an issue about retiring the name,” Amfo said.

Glover reminded the DJ he hasn’t retired Gambino yet, and suggested he wouldn’t do so in the near future.

“You still have a lot more time of calling me [Childish Gambino] if you want,” Donald said. Unfortunately he didn't elaborate how much longer we have to call him Childish, but he does acknowledge being in the studio in London at the moment working on new music.

“I’ve been working on that here,” he said. “You guys have been very instrumental in my music. London has been very inspirational.”

How he has the time to work to new music is anyone’s guess considering he’s readying season 2 of Atlanta & about to be the voice of Simba in Disney’s remake of The Lion King, but apparently he is.

Listen to the full interview right here, and fast forward to the 1:22:50 mark to hear him talk about upcoming music. We'll continue to update you with info as it becomes available.
