Chance the Rapper's bodyguard is feeling the pain after video surfaced of him accosting another gentleman who was close to the famed emcee.
TMZ is reporting that Chance's private security guard, 44-year-old Star Thomas, was booked by police on Thursday night at the W Hotel in Chicago. Law enforcement supposedly have to intervene after Thomas body slammed a man who was in the lobby of the hotel. Sources are saying that Chance was really close to the physical altercation and watched it all unfold.
According to the report, the victim was trying to get into the same elevator that was occupied by Chance and his crew and the bodyguard in questions was determined to block his way. More than an hour later, the man crossed paths with Chance and his entourage again, this time in the lobby, and Thomas proceeded to throw him down.
No one from Chance's camp has made an official comment on the incident, but his bodyguard was booked on a misdemeanor battery charge. There's also no word if the altercation will affect Thomas' employment prospects with Chance.
