Prince's sudden and tragic death was an event that rocked the music world. An upcoming photography book about the late legend will be coming out in the near future and will feature a forward from another titan of the business: Beyoncé.
The recent bearer of twins Rumi and Sir, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Mrs. Carter has penned a loving tribute to the incredibly influential artist. In a sneak peek at those words, Queen B says that "Truth be told, the word 'icon' only scratches the surface of what Prince was and what he remains to me." It's a view that's shared by many in the global music community.
The book, which will be titled Prince: A Private View, will feature photography from Afshin Shahidi, Prince's friend of 20 years and his personal photographer for half that time. As per EW, the collection of images will "[...] range from intimate to candid to staged, and many of them have never been seen before." It's sure to be a delight for Prince fans young and old and set to hit bookstores on October 17th.
